I am a native from France…so i bought the DVD so my daughter could hear the alphabet in French. The speaker is not even a native. She has accent. And they misspelled a word!! incredible!
I would not recommend it.

They had a great idea to make this dvd! It is very helpful in teaching my 2yr old! They even made it so that you can learn a language, and have help from another language. (For example: learn words in German with help from English.) The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, is because in the Spanish they teach that the “J” sounds like our English “J” (they use the word “jet”), but if you know Spanish, it sounds like “huuuuu”. I am not sure why they did that?
…..But overall, a great product.

What a fun product! I got this DVD for my grandkids. We love how easy it is to use — we can quickly flip back forth among the languages offered. The pace was good. I especially liked that many of the same images were used in each language. For example, the word “grapes” was used several times and now we know that word in several languages — even Turkish! The video clips were clever and entertaining. They captured our attention and made is really fun to watch the whole alphabet. I can’t wait to see the rest of the products in the series!

This DVD is simply fabulous. The assist from another language feature is very helpful. My husband and our 3 and 5 year old daughters do not speak French (yet!) but they are learning quickly now. They started with the assist mode (in our case, French with English), and now they are doing great using the French full immersion mode without assistance. They even tried some German and Spanish the other day, with French assist for some cross training! I didn’ tknow they could do that. This DVD is the only one we haven’t put away shortly after purchase like we did with others, it has been great fun. I am a French native, and the pronunciation in the French section sounds a bit Canadian-French to me. It is actually not a heavy, second language accent, just a very light accent still by a native speaker. And yaourt was spelled the Canadian way, yogourt, not a typo or a mistake, just not native French spelling. Neither of them bother me, my kids are enjoying learning French finally and I’m loving it! By the way you can listen to video samples on their website first. Apparently the European version of the DVD has another speaker, she sounds native French in the sample video, maybe the spelling is more native French on that version too. With all its unique features, this DVD is superior to all others we tried so far without question. Five stars from our bilingual family – I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is priceless hearing my 3 year old say autobus!

We love this DVD! My kids will sit through it without distraction. We like how colorful it is and that it uses words you wouldn’t expect. The repetition of the pictures, words, and phonics is well done. It has the common languages, but the Turkish adds a fun twist! The DVD options are very user friendly. We hope to see more DVD’s from this company.
